Trachea Alarm

Trachea Alarm developed for two nurses in New Jersey who had an idea that they wanted to bring to market. The Trachea Alarm notifies a caregiver if the trachea tube comes out of a patient’s trachea or becomes loose, preventing suffocation and improving a patient’s ability to breath. We took an original idea protected under US Patent 9,788,583 (Open as PDF) and turned it into a working product. The design includes injection molded parts, electronic printed circuit board (PCB) with programmable firmware, alarm speaker, LED lights, etc.all protected in a splash-proof housing. We completed the entire project at a very low cost with a signed test report in the end that shows all requirements were met.
