Percutaneous Suture Locker

These suture lockers were designed to lock two sutures together within the left ventricle of the heart. The lockers were designed to be passed over the sutures through catheters that were inserted into the femoral artery, over the aortic arch, through the aortic valve, and into the left ventricle. The key requirements were ability to pass over twisted sutures, ease of removal, and a secure lock on the sutures.
